Thank you for taking the time to read our office protocols! As we navigate the "new normal", we are working diligently to put proper safety measures in place for our patients. Please read the following, in full, prior to your appointment, to ensure that you are comfortable with these changes. 

  1. We continue to require that all who enter the office bring and wear a face mask that fits well, covering their nose and mouth for the duration of the visit.

  2. Please complete and submit the online form prior to your appointment, in order to minimize wait time.

  3. We ask adults to come in alone for their appointment, unless assistance is needed. For patients under 18, we ask that only one parent or adult guardian is with them.

  4. Doors will be locked in between appointments, to limit the number of people in the office. The office will be cleaned and disinfected, to a greater extent, in between each patient.

  5. Please text 469-389-0225 when you are in the parking lot. This will notify the staff to open the door. If you arrive earlier than your appointment time, please note that there may be a wait time while the office is being cleaned. 

  6. When you enter, we will check your temperature using a non-contact thermometer. If the reading is 100˚F or above, or if you are exhibiting upper respiratory symptoms, we will kindly ask you to please reschedule your appointment and seek medical attention for your symptoms.

  7. We ask you to please sanitize your hands prior to the examination.

  8. For contact lens patients who are new to our office, please try to obtain information about your current contacts prior to your appointment – the brand and power, if possible. This will minimize time in office spent determining which brand(s) may or may not be compatible.

  9. You will be asked to complete an illness screening form upon arrival. 

  10. We are unable to accept checks for payment at this time.

 

We recognize that these measures can feel harsh and impersonal compared to our usual atmosphere, and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Your patience is truly appreciated during this difficult time and we look forward to returning to the good ol’ days of handshakes and long chats!
